Biography
Sara Lomelin is a connector of people and ideas, a relationship builder, and a believer that everyone can be a philanthropist. A philanthropy disruptor, Sara has spoken globally about collective giving, including at TED 2022. As the founding CEO of Philanthropy Together, she leads efforts to expand people-powered philanthropy, supporting grassroots nonprofits and shifting power dynamics. Sara was named to the Forbes 50 Over 50: Impact List (2023) and the NonProfit Times Power & Influence Top 50 (2024). Previously, she was Senior Director of Leadership Philanthropy at Opportunity Fund and Vice President of Philanthropy at the Latino Community Foundation, where she created the Latino Giving Circle Network®. Sara serves on several boards, including GivingTuesday and the Women's Philanthropy Institute.
