ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Internews is seeking a Finance & Operations Manager (F&O Manager) for a forthcoming USAID-funded global Internet freedom initiative that will support local civil society, independent media, and human rights defenders to better prevent and respond to digital repression in their own contexts, particularly in repressive contexts. The activity will focus on building long-term, local resilience among civil society through a networked approach involved global, regional, and local actors. The activity will likely provide technical assistance on digital security, digital governance advocacy, engagement, censorship circumvention, and holistic legal, psychosocial, and physical security support. The F&O Manager will support the Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) in managing all financial aspects of the leader award, including establishing strong financial and operational processes, overseeing subgrant processes, and conducting onboarding for associate award projects. The F&O Manager will work with the team to ensure effective support and coordination with project partners, contributing the overall objective of making this project a flagship example of locally-led development.
