Monica Schroeder leads Build Change’s external affairs strategy as the Vice President of Global Engagement, driving impactful advocacy and communications, as well as building and nurturing partnerships with philanthropic and corporate partners to amplify resilient housing globally. She previously served as Build Change’s Director of Global Advocacy, where she played an instrumental role in integrating resilient housing into key climate and urban agendas in partnership with the UN High Level Champions, G7, and the World Economic Forum, among others.
Prior to her tenure at Build Change, Monica led the implementation of democracy and governance programs across 15 countries. She provided strategic counsel to nonprofit organizations, guiding them in the development and execution of impactful advocacy campaigns addressing critical issues such as environmental degradation, corruption, electoral integrity, and women’s empowerment in politics.
