The oceans produce more than seventy percent of our oxygen, dominate the world’s weather system, and support the livelihoods of 500 million people worldwide. Yet today they are in great peril – overfished, polluted, and damaged by the absorption of ever-increasing amounts of carbon dioxide. What must be done if we are to reverse the destruction of this vital resource?
