Biography

Aaron Huey builds campaigns that create real-world change, by any medium necessary. As a National Geographic photographer, he has created 30+ features on environmental conservation, cultural preservation, and social justice, reaching hundreds of millions globally. His approach was shaped by three fellowships at Stanford, where he honed a "language lab" model for simplifying complex ideas into compelling narratives.
Huey’s work spans photography, immersive media, street art, and digital platforms, always adapting to create impact. His Webby Award-winning VR experience for Bears Ears helped shift policy through immersive storytelling. As the founder of Amplifier.org, , and under his creative direction, Amplifier has collaborated with thousands of artists on initiatives focused on on social, environmental, and public health issues.
