Biography

Aarti Porwal is the Managing Director of Stanford’s Digital Medic, a program within the Stanford Center for Health Education that improves global health by spreading evidence-based health information and building capacity for the health workforce. Under Aarti’s leadership, Digital Medic has become a critical resource for health workers and their communities, providing accessible information and training to bridge gaps in healthcare delivery, particularly in low-resource settings. The Digital Medic team aims to advance how digital learning can achieve health information equity in an evolving global landscape.

By building a digitally supported workforce, Digital Medic is at the forefront of advancing global health education and addressing the need for accurate, actionable information in a world increasingly impacted by misinformation and doubt. Aarti has worked in healthcare and education for 20 years and is passionate about advancing healthcare access and equity.
