Abrar Chaudhury

Biography

Dr. Abrar Chaudhury, senior research fellow at Oxford’s Saïd, has 25+ years of global experience focusing on climate action, climate finance, and sustainable business. A former British Academy Fellow, he has worked with governments, funders, and institutions to address environmental challenges.

Abrar researches global climate funds like the Green Climate Fund and climate tech to advance climate action in emerging economies. He collaborates with UNDP on funding climate resilience and co-leads the Oxford Climate-Tech Initiative, producing the "Climate Tech Opportunity Report." His work spans projects with EY on corporate purpose and projects funded by World Bank, UKAID, and USAID, addressing climate-smart agriculture and smallholder resilience in 15+ countries.

Abrar teaches on Oxford programs, publishes widely in World Economic Forum, TechCrunch, Impact Alpha and has presented at COPs. He holds a PhD in Climate, an MBA, an MSc from Oxford and is a Fellow Chartered Accountant.
