Biography
Achaleke Christian Leke is a multi-award-winning international development, peacebuilding, and violent extremism expert from Cameroon with 17 years of experience working as a practitioner, researcher and academic. He has pioneered and led over 600 community and global initiatives, which have contributed to building safe, secure and prosperous world. He serves as the Executive Director of a Youth-led CSO; Local Youth Corner Cameroon. He served the African Union as the AU Youth Ambassador for Peace, for Central Africa. His work on supporting children, youth & women in armed conflict is impacting communities. His transformative works have earned him several recognitions, including the 2016 Commonwealth Young Person of the Year, and received by H.M Queen Elizabeth II. He has featured 5 times in the list of 100 Most Influential Young Africans. He was featured as a UNESCO RealLife Hero in 2020 and a recipient of the Luxembourg Peace Prize. He was featured as a CNN African Voices Change-maker.
