She is the founder of She the People, the only U.S. organization dedicated to elevating the leadership and influence of women of color—a mission she advances alongside her broader work reshaping political culture and expanding multiracial democracy. Her work illuminating and analyzing women of color’s political power has appeared in the New York Times, The Atlantic, MSNBC, and hundreds of other national and international outlets, helping usher a new generation of leaders from marginalized communities into public office. She is currently writing She the People, a book that blends memoir, history, and vision to address this moment of democratic backsliding and to center women of color not merely as subjects, but as architects of what comes next. She holds a BA and MA from Stanford University.
