Biography

Dr. Mrs. Alberta Adjebeng Biritwum-Nyarko is a distinguished and highly accomplished public health professional based in Accra, Ghana. With over two decades of experience, she has demonstrated exceptional technical expertise and leadership in the healthcare sector. Her career is marked by a commitment to improving healthcare systems and outcomes. Dr. Biritwum-Nyarko's extensive skill set includes epidemiology, infectious disease management, public health emergency management, health system strengthening among others. With a solid educational background that includes Membership of the Ghana College of Physicians, a Master of Public Health (MPH), an MB.ChB, and a BSc. in Human Biology, Dr. Biritwum-Nyarko has a strong foundation in healthcare and public health. By working at all the levels of health care in the country, from the hospital through the management of health services at district, regional and headquarters, Dr Biritwum-Nyarko understands the health system for improvement.
