Alice Kang'ethe

Biography

Alice Kang’ethe is the founding CEO of the Beginnings Fund a philanthropic
initiative partnering with African governments to accelerate progress in saving maternal and newborn lives. She currently serves on the board of Living Goods.

Previously, Alice served as the global Chief Operating Officer at Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) where she oversaw a complex multi program, multi country operation in over 40 countries spread across Africa, Asia, and Latin America.

Prior to this, Alice held multiple global leadership roles focussed on women and children’s health. As the Executive Vice President of Vaccine Delivery and Family Planning, Vice President of Maternal and Child Health and Director Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission of HIV (PMTCT).

Alice holds a first-class degree in Economics from the Catholic University of Eastern
Africa and a Master of Science degree in Economics and Human Resource Management from the London School of Economics.
