Biography
As Director of External Engagement, Amanda works with and for the Girls Not Brides movement to influence powerholders and decision-makers to prioritise girls' rights and an end to child marriage, everywhere. She leads the advocacy & campaigns, communications, and development & outreach teams.
Amanda was a founding leader of Equal Measures 2030, a feminist coalition centred on using and communicating gender data, where she held a variety of portfolios 2017-2024 including policy and advocacy, programming, grantmaking, and fundraising. Over her 15 years in the sector, she has worked in policy, advocacy, and campaigns with Plan International, Save the Children, and Oxfam, in both humanitarian and development roles, and held advisory roles with Publish What You Fund, Global Fund for Women, and Women Deliver. Amanda holds an MSc in Global Politics and BAs (Hons) in both Asia Studies and Music Performance-Voice.
