Biography

Aminata Wurie is a Senior Project Manager, Policy, Advocacy, & Partnerships, at Pandemic Action Network, providing operational, management and strategic policy support. Aminata has a background in global health advocacy, partnership building, and coalition coordination. Previously, she worked at the Canadian Partnership for Women and Children’s Health (CanWaCH), leading the organization’s strategic engagement at UN processes, strengthening global to local health and gender equality. She also campaigned for Canada to provide its fair share for a fully funded ACT-Accelerator. Aminata served as the Executive Director of a youth-led organization advocating for the participation of young people in decision-making spaces affecting their sexual and reproductive health and rights. During the Ebola crisis, she returned to Sierra Leone to join frontline response efforts.
