Biography

Amy Coughenour Betancourt is a social innovator who has dedicated three decades to supporting community-led organizations across the globe to implement effective, sustainable solutions to the world’s biggest problems. She is currently the President and CEO of Cadasta Foundation, which deploys innovative geospatial technology, services, and training to advance global land and resource rights for over 6,500 rightholder communities across 50 countries and 30 million hectares. Amy has an ESG Designation from Competent Boards and was named a Global 50 Women in Sustainability by SustainabilityX Magazine. Amy is a Board Director of Manna Food Center, a Global Advisor for Women Leaders of the World, and a member of the Global Diplomacy Lab. She holds an MA in International Policy Studies from Middlebury Institute at Monterey, a BA in German, and a Fulbright Teaching Scholarship.
