Biography
Andrea Burt is a grant writer and cause marketer from Asuncion, Paraguay. She discovered her passion for social development at a very young age, as a volunteer at different organizations and non-profits. Andrea was the first Paraguayan to graduate from Connecticut College, where she double majored in Government and self-designed 'Development as Empowerment.' She was still a scholar of the college's Holleran Center for Community Action and Public Policy when she was awarded her first grant to design and implement a national organ donation campaign, which was later declared of national interest by the Ministry of Health and the Vice Presidency of Paraguay. Since then, she has dedicated her time to writing projects, carrying out cause-marketing campaigns and advising non-profits. Today, she works alongside Luis Szaran, international-known orchestra director, musicologist and social entrepreneur, as Institutional Relations Director of Sonidos de la Tierra.
