Biography
Angela is the CEO of the Financing Alliance for Health (FAH), an International NGO that supports African governments in building resilient primary and community health systems. She also co-leads Africa Frontline First Initiative aimed at scaling 200,000 Community Health workers in 10 countries by 2030. She has over 15 years of experience as a clinician in rural Kenya, a health economist, and a consultant at McKinsey & Company.
Under her leadership, FAH has mobilized over $500 million to strengthen health systems across 16 countries by collaborating with organizations like The Global Fund, Bill&Melinda Gates Foundation, Johnson & Johnson Foundation, Elma Philanthropies among others. She holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery and an MSc in Health Economics and Policy.
Her leadership has been recognized through several awards, including President Obama’s Mandela Washington Fellowship-2014, Fortune's World's Greatest Leaders-2018 and the Skoll Award for Social Entrepreneurship-2022.
