Biography
Anne is Founder and Executive Director of Girls Education Collaborative (GEC), an NGO working to create a gender equal world. GEC acts as a pivotal partner, ally, and catalyst for girl-centered local initiatives.
Anne earned a Masters of Public Administration from Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs in 2009. During her degree program she learned how deep and wide the barriers can be between a girl and her education, and, what happens for that girl and her greater community if those barriers can be breached. Once aware, she dedicated her latter career to working on behalf of girls and their educations.
Prior to the launch of GEC in 2012, Anne managed a state senate and congressional campaign for two female candidates. Her earlier work was in economic development and communications and she helped launched the Enterprise Charter School in Buffalo, NY.
She graduated from Bowdoin College and during that time studied and lived in Kenya for one year
