Biography
Aparajita is the Director of the Family Planning team at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, ensuring women and girls globally can access contraceptives and family planning services. With 20 years at the foundation, she has held several roles, most recently leading the Donor Partnerships team for Europe, Middle East, and East Asia from the London office. She also worked in India, managing a US$150 million portfolio for health, agriculture, and financial inclusion in Uttar Pradesh, co-leading the development of the India office strategy, and overseeing Avahan’s transition to the Indian government. Prior to the foundation, she was a consultant at McKinsey & Company in New York, serving media, retail, and telecommunications clients. She also worked at The Walt Disney Company’s Corporate Strategic Planning Group, leading mergers and acquisitions, technology, consumer products, and R&D. Aparajita holds an A.B. in Government from Harvard University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
