Ashu Martha Egbe

Biography

Ashu Martha Agbornyenty is an award-winning Midwife & Reproductive Health Specialist, Founder/Executive Director of For Mom and Baby Foundation and 2024 Echoing Green Fellow. She is a passionate maternal and child health advocate who has represented her country Cameroon globally.

Her foundation (est. 2021) supports 7200+ mothers and babies in crisis areas. As Cameroon's first Young Midwife Leader with the International Confederation of Midwives, she champions midwifery education. Martha is also a 2023 Gates Foundation Global GoalKeeper Change Maker Award recipient. She was also a 2024 ChangeNOW "Women Shaping the Future" honoree. Martha actively advocates for improved maternal and child health services, engaging in international discussions to influence policy.
