Biography
Azima Dhanjee, a Child of Deaf Adults (CODA), is the Co-founder/CEO of ConnectHear, a Board Member at Social Enterprise World Forum (SEWF) and an ex-National Youth Council member. An IBA alumna (BBA, 2020), she was recently recognized as Pride of Pakistan by ISPR.
Raised by Deaf parents, Pakistani Sign Language (PSL) is her mother tongue. Seeing the communication barriers faced by the Deaf community, she co-founded ConnectHear, a disability tech enterprise promoting inclusion through technology. The company recently launched Pakistan’s first sign language recognition A.I.
Azima is a Diana Award recipient and has been featured in Forbes and Pioneers Post. ConnectHear has won the TRT World Citizen Award, TiE Women Global Competition, Young Innovators Award by the World Summit Award, the P@SHA ICT Awards as well as the Standard Chartered Women in Tech Competition. She has spoken on Social Entrepreneurship, Disability Rights, and Leadership at national and international forums.
