Biography
Barbie-Lee Kirby, is a proud Ngemba, Wailwan, Baakindji-Maraura, Gamilaraay, and Yuwaalaraay woman from Brewarrina, Far West NSW. She is the Executive Director of First Nations Futures, an Indigenous-led funding platform providing unrestricted investment into community-led impact. She previously spearheaded the Palimaa Community Data Platform, with 15 data contributors across various industries. Barbie-Lee holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting & Law) from UTS and is pursuing a PhD on economic opportunities for Indigenous women. Her career includes finance and governance roles at Qantas and Herbert Smith Freehills. She sits on the First Nations Advisory Committee for Uber Australia and serves as a Board Director for The Salaam Institute and NASCA.
