Biography

BASIRU ISA is an indigenous youth based in Cameroon, Central African Region. He is the Current Regional Secretary General of REPALEAC, the Network of Indigenous Peoples for the Sustainable Management of Forest Ecosystem in Central Africa. He equally is the Manager of the REAPALREAC Funds recently created. He has been involved in the defense and promotion of the right of Indigenous peoples for more than 10 years. He has been very active at the national, regional and global level with more focus on Sustainable Development Goals. He is the Focal Point of IPMG as Technical Secretary for SDGs in Africa which involves Coordination and Mobilization of indigenous peoples to actively participates in the SDG processes at National and Regional levels. He has a particular interest on pastoralist as he defended his Master Thesis on Pastoralist and Livelihoods of the Indigenous Peoples.
