Biography

Ben has over 15 years of experience working in both the non-profit and private sectors on initiatives related to global health and development in diverse settings across southern and eastern Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, and Navajo Nation.

Ben is the Executive Manager of the Johns Hopkins Alliance for a Healthier World; a University wide initiative to bring together faculty, staff and students to tackle complex opportunities in global health equity. Prior to this role he worked with the AMPATH consortium based in Eldoret, Kenya and before that served as Chief of Staff and Director of Board Relations at the non profit organization Partners In Health.

The conceptual thread running through Ben's global health delivery experience is the notion that well resourced public sector healthcare delivery systems, complete with high quality and accessible educational systems, represent the greatest opportunity for transformation.
