Bernard Chiira is the Founder & CEO of AT4D, a Kenyan based trust and legacy of Innovate Now-Africa's 1st assistive tech accelerator. AT4D now leads this initiative and is dedicated to investing in technologies and communities that enable persons with disabilities to thrive. Bernard is committed to driving innovation that enables people's potential, fostering a more just and inclusive world. With a distinguished career spanning over a decade, Bernard's expertise encompasses innovation, entrepreneurship, assistive technology, and unlocking innovation capital for early-stage startups in Africa. He is a highly sought after board member, advisor and speaker for his passionate and expert advocacy and thought leadership in assistive technology, inclusive design, equitable AI, and accessibility. His impact resonates globally, with collaborations, awards and accolades across and beyond Africa, Europe, the UK, and the USA. In 2024, he was admitted to the prestigious Skoll Fellowship.
