Biography

Bhavnaben Rathod, a grassroots leader at SEWA, has pioneered climate resilience in Aravalli by linking thousands of women to SEWA’s parametric heat insurance, ensuring livelihood security amid heatwaves. As the force behind SEWA’s green village initiatives, she has mobilized members to adopt sustainable solutions like cool roofs, biogas, and solar lanterns. Elected to SEWA’s executive committee by 120,000 members, she continues to drive climate finance and adaptation for women workers.
