Biography

Bochola Sara Arero is a dedicated climate advocate and community leader committed to uplifting pastoralist communities and addressing climate impacts. She co-founded the African Youth Pastoralist Initiative, empowering marginalized communities through climate resilience and sustainable resource management. With a background in Global Challenges and extensive experience working with conservation and community organizations, including the Ethiopian Wildlife Conservation Authority and Save the Children, Bochola brings a unique blend of research, grassroots engagement, and storytelling to her work. Bochola's impact reaches the global stage, where she has helped shape policy discussions that prioritize pastoralist voices in climate action, including contributions at COP 27 and COP 16.
