Biography

Bridget Kustin (PhD, Johns Hopkins University), an economic anthropologist, is Senior Research Fellow at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford and Director of Ownership Project 2.0: Private Capital Owners & Impact, a global study of single family offices and family businesses, holding companies, and foundations, and how they can scale their impact to address global challenges. As Research Lead on the Ownership Project (2018-23), she studied how family owners of large (revenue above USD 1+ billion) businesses exercise their ownership and understand their purpose. Previously, she spent nearly 2 years in Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia researching Islamic microfinance clients' household wealth management. Bridget was a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow, Fulbright Research Fellow, and has held fellowships with the Institute for Money, Technology, and Financial Inclusion; Berlin’s Center for Social Science Research Centre (WZB); and the World Economic Forum.
