Cathryn Wood

Biography

Cathryn graduated in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge, after which she spent seven years at the BBC, where she was a Radio 4 Producer. Cathryn is a Winston Churchill Fellow and has carried out research and capacity building projects with the Community Radio Sector in Malawi. She has worked closely with and evaluated maternal health radio programmes in a number of Commonwealth Countries. Prior to joining DMI, Cathryn worked in grant-giving for the Wellcome Trust, with a particular focus on engaging with the broadcast sector.

At DMI, Cathryn leads on developing new areas of activity for DMI and on securing new funding and building new partnerships in order to maximise DMI’s impact on improving health and saving lives.
