Chris Collins

Biography

Chris is an advocate for global health investment and results-oriented, human rights-based approaches to health. As President & CEO at Friends of the Global Fight he has played a central role in major financing victories. Chris has written widely on the connection between disease-focused programs and broader health goals. He partners with health advocates globally and has established close advocacy partnerships with the private sector and faith communities.
Chris served as Chief of Community Mobilization at UNAIDS and Vice President and Director of Public Policy at amfAR. He authored the monograph that inspired the effort to create the first comprehensive US National HIV/AIDS Strategy. He co-founded and served as Executive Director at AVAC. As staff to Rep. Nancy Pelosi Chris designed the first legislation to provide incentives for development and delivery of vaccines against HIV, tuberculosis and malaria. He holds a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard University.
