Chris Nsabiyumva

Biography

Chris Nsabiyumva is the Co-Founder & Deputy Executive Director of SaCoDé, a Burundian nonprofit dedicated to empowering women and girls, with a special focus on menstrual hygiene management. He leads resource mobilization and strategy, helping scale programs in WASH, financial literacy, vocational training, nutrition, SRH, GBV prevention, and family planning. With a background in Economics and International Trade Policy, Chris also brings experience as a Digital Product (UX) Designer in tech startups. Under his leadership, SaCoDé has expanded the impact of Agateka washable pads, leveraged a toll-free SMS platform for large-scale education, and launched the first period-tracking app in Kirundi.
