Biography
Chris Underhill MBE is a pioneering social entrepreneur and mentor with over 40 years of leadership in disability, mental health, and sustainable development. He founded Thrive, ADD, and BasicNeeds, supporting hundreds of thousands globally. Chris has held governance roles with Oxfam, Ashoka, and Catalyst 2030, and is co-founder and CEO of the Elders Council for Social Entrepreneurs. Through his mentoring practice, he advises senior leaders across health, human rights, and philanthropy. A Senior Fellow of Ashoka, he is also a recipient of the Skoll and Schwab Awards for Social Entrepreneurship, and was honoured with an MBE for his service.
