Biography

Dakota Hall is a national leader and strategist with nearly a decade of experience driving youth civic engagement. As the founder of Leaders Igniting Transformation (LIT) in Wisconsin, Dakota grew the organization from $5,000 in seed funding to a $4 million statewide powerhouse mobilizing Black and Brown youth through legislative campaigns and political initiatives. Now, as Executive Director of the Alliance for Youth Action and Organizing, he leads the largest grassroots youth network in the U.S., fostering advocacy, base building, and progressive change. Dakota's leadership has secured over $65 million for youth-led movements and driven major victories, including removing Milwaukee Police from Public Schools. Featured in outlets like CNN, The New York Times, and Time Magazine, Dakota co-authored "From Failure to Freedom," highlighting systemic challenges in Milwaukee schools. His work exemplifies a commitment to equity, empowerment, and transformative change.
