Biography

David Bornstein is CEO of the Solutions Journalism Network (SJN), which is leading a global movement to transform journalism, so it becomes a vital real-time mechanism for gathering knowledge and insight to address today's most urgent challenges and threats. SJN has engaged with over 40,000 journalists and has partners, fellows and trainers in 68 countries. David has been a journalist focusing on social innovation, for 30 years. From 2010 to 2021, he co-authored the popular Fixes column in The New York Times, which published over 600 articles focused on creative approaches to social and environmental problems. He is the author of "How to Change the World: Social Entrepreneurs and the Power of New Ideas," "The Price of a Dream: The Story of the Grameen Bank," and "Social Entrepreneurship: What Everyone Needs to Know." He is an Ashoka Fellow and Member of the Board of BMe Community.
