Biography
David Haroz serves as chief of staff of the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation. David is a committed leader with nearly 25 years of government, multilateral, and nonprofit experience in the U.S., Africa, and Asia, with a focus on promoting the health and dignity of people most in need. He was senior executive in the Office of the U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator and Global Health Diplomacy at the U.S. Department of State from 2011 to 2022, including as chief policy advisor and director of communications, helping lead the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief. Previously, David served as a senior consultant in Hanoi, Vietnam. David began his career working with organizations focused on addressing the global HIV epidemic, including stints with UNAIDS in Nairobi, Kenya and Washington, D.C. Haroz holds a BA with distinction in foreign affairs from University of Virginia and a Global MA in international affairs from the Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy at Tufts University.
