Biography
Dayna Ash (she/they) is an intersectional feminist, performing artist, writer, and the founder & Executive Director of Haven for Artists, a cultural feminist organization at the intersection of art and activism.
They are an Arts for Gender Equity Fellow with CARE USA, a former Asfari Institute Fellow (AUB, 2022–2024), and serve on the Board of Directors for the Global Fund for Women, chairing its Governance Committee. They also sit on the Executive Committee, advise the Doria Feminist Fund, and are a Champion for SheDecides.
Dayna was a Bellagio Artist-in-Residence (2023), an Edinburgh Visual Arts Festival Artist-in-Residence (2023, 2024), and a Cultural Delegate for Momentum (2022). Their advocacy has earned them global recognition, including BBC’s 100 Most Inspirational Women (2019), the Woman of Distinction Award (2020) for advancing gender equity, and the Leader in LGBT Health Equity Award (2021) for contributions to LGBTQ+ rights in Lebanon.
