I assumed charge of Executive Director at Gram Vikas in late June 2015. I have been a member of the Gram Vikas Society since 1998. Prior to coming to Gram Vikas I was a Professor at the Institute of Rural Management, Anand (IRMA), in Gujarat, India. I had served in that capacity for 25 years and initially came to Gram Vikas on 'leave of absence' from IRMA.
At graduate school I was a student of Political Science in the School of Social Sciences in Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. I did doctoral studies at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM,A), specialising in Public Policy and Management.
I am married and have a daughter.
