Biography
Diana Calthorpe Rose is Founding President Emerita of the Garrison Institute, a non-profit organization whose mission is to apply the transformative power of contemplation to today's pressing social and environmental concerns, helping build a more compassionate, resilient future.
The Garrison Institute's Program Initiatives develop rigorous, evidence-based ways to apply contemplative methodologies to key social change fields - education, ecology and trauma care - redefining their core issues, connecting them to a larger context of systemic change.
Mrs. Rose is a leader in helping to build a bridge between spirituality and social action, and her career reflects her commitment to creating linkages between individual transformation and social transformation. Reflecting on her own spiritual practices and commitment to social action, she has served on the Boards of several national Buddhist organizations in America.
Diana is also President of the Lostand Foundation.
