Biography
Diego has over a decade of experience in advocacy, campaigns, and in international environmental discussions, particularly working with environmental, grassroots, and Indigenous Peoples organizations. Throughout his career, Diego has been dedicated to ensuring that local voices are heard in global negotiations and that policies align with human rights standards and environmental protection. In Brazil, he is established as a leading voice in the non-profit and political sectors, spearheading campaigns on anti-corruption, transparency, digital rights, environmental and climate change, and human rights. His experience includes over a decade of public sector relations, particularly with the Brazilian Congress and government agencies. Before joining CECG, where he manages a wide grant-making portfolio focused on Movements, Global South Diplomacy and Food & Nature, he served as a Senior Director at the global campaigning organization Avaaz.
