Biography
Drew Kodjak is a prominent figure in the field of environmental policy and vehicle emissions regulation. He is the co-founder and Executive Director of the International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT), an independent nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the environmental performance and energy efficiency of road, marine, and air transportation. Under his leadership, the ICCT has provided critical research and analysis that has informed the development of hundreds of ambitious and effective clean transportation policies and regulations around the world, including in major markets like Brazil, China, the European Union, India, and the United States.
In 2023–24, while on sabbatical from the ICCT, Kodjak served a yearlong appointment in the Biden-Harris Administration as the Senior Director of Transportation Emissions in the White House Climate Policy Office. During his White House tenure, Kodjak helped to finalize cutting-edge light and heavy-duty vehicle regulations.
