Elfaz Kassa Mekonnen

Biography

Elfaz Kassa Mekonnen is the Program Director of Drop of Water, a local organization providing water and sanitation to rural communities in Ethiopia. He holds a Master’s degree in Development Management from Addis Ababa University and two Bachelors from Mekelle University. Under Elfaz's leadership, Drop of Water has completed over 150 projects, impacting about 80,000 individuals.

As an alumnus of the Young African Leaders Initiative and a passionate social entrepreneur, Elfaz advocates for the meaningful inclusion of local organizations in global development efforts to ensure sustainable community development. He also focuses on youth empowerment in the water and sanitation sector, equipping young people with skills and resources to drive change.

Driven by a vision to create lasting change, Elfaz aspires to expand his impact to other African countries, bringing innovative and sustainable solutions to improve the quality of life for underprivileged communities.
