I am Flávia Pellegrino, the Executive Director of Pacto pela Democracia, a broad, cross-ideological coalition that coordinates Brazil’s pro-democracy ecosystem to counter authoritarian threats, defend the Democratic Rule of Law, and revitalize the country’s democratic environment. Over the past decade, I have built and coordinated networks focused on democracy and human rights.
I hold a degree in journalism and a master’s in political science. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of contributing to Brazil’s pro-democracy movement, and internationally, I am involved in various initiatives aimed at strengthening transnational cooperation to promote democratic values, practices, and strategies to counter the global rise of autocratization.
In 2025, I was honored to receive the Skoll Award for Social Innovation :)
