Gabriel is an award-winning filmmaker who tells stories of global social change leaders.
As executive producer for the documentary #SolutionsInsideOut series, he’s working to shift the way the development sector approaches storytelling in the Global South.
He started working with video at age 13 at KDOL-TV in Oakland. He helped create The Factory, an advanced filmmaking lab for Bay Area youth, with Youth Sounds. He also taught film production at San Francisco State University.
As an independent filmmaker, his lens focuses on outsiders taking big risks to create the world they want to see. As a social artist, he designs experiences which invite collective bridge building, healing, and play.
In a previous life he had an acting career, graduating from Trinity Rep Conservatory.
