Dr. Geetha Murali is CEO of Room to Read, a global organization advancing literacy and gender equality. Since joining in 2009, she has guided its expansion to 29 countries, benefitting more than 52 million children. Her leadership blends a personal commitment to social justice with 25 years of experience in corporate and nonprofit sectors, including roles in pharma and educational technology, and has been recognized by Michelle Obama’s Girls Opportunity Alliance.
A frequent speaker and media voice, Geetha also executive produced the Webby-winning She Creates Change. Her work has earned honors including CNBC Changemaker, WIRED leader, and knighthood from the King of Cambodia. She is a member of YPO, advises Neythri, and holds advanced degrees from UNC Chapel Hill and UC Berkeley.
