Gita Syahrani is convener for collective action with experience in corporate law, public and private sectors, civil society, and movement-building. Since 2022, Gita has spearheaded the establishment of Earth-Centered Economic Coalition (Koalisi Ekonomi Membumi | KEM), a 30+ organizations collective action to reduce Indonesia’s reliance on extractive and large scale monoculture industry by strengthening Responsible Bioeconomy. Gita is now leading KEM as the Head of Executive Board. For her vision and work, she is recognized as Mulago Fellow, Ashoka Fellow and Skoll Fellow. In 2023, she became Climate Breakthrough Awardee which allowed her to build BLESS Indonesia - a foundation focusing on behaviour change pathway for systemic change, particularly by investing on individual leaders.
