Guy Cave

Biography

Guy Cave is President of the Legatum Foundation. Prior to joining Legatum, Guy built up 30 years of experience in social work, international development, humanitarian response, and philanthropy consulting. Guy has lived and worked in multiple countries across five continents – including: Colombia, Myanmar (Burma), Cote d’Ivoire, Senegal, USA, Turkey etc. He holds a Masters in Social Work, and a Masters in Children’s Rights.

Legatum is a purpose-driven global investment partnership based in Dubai, focused on increasing prosperity/human flourishing across the world. We are one firm with one mission, and the Legatum Foundation is the team responsible for our philanthropy. Legatum was a founding donor to the END Fund, the Freedom Fund, and the Luminos Fund, and continues to fund all three as well as a number of pilot initiatives – including: community-led humanitarian response; family-based care for vulnerable children; and advancing justice for those in prison.
