Biography

Harry Lee is CEO of Abaarso Network, a nonprofit school system in Somaliland, East Africa whose students became the first in the country in 30 years to matriculate to US universities including Harvard, Yale, MIT, Brown, Cornell, and Columbia. Prior to this role, Harry founded the Kaabe Schools, the first ever Montessori schools in Somaliland, in an effort to bring student-centered learning to underserved populations. Harry earned a Master’s in Education from Harvard University and Bachelor’s Degrees in Foreign Affairs and Psychology from the University of Virginia. While at Harvard, Harry was a graduate-level Teaching Fellow for Professor Tina Grotzer. Harry Produced and Directed a feature-length documentary called Somaliland that premiered at the Woodstock Film Festival.
