Biography

Iheoma Obibi is an African feminist activist, consultant, and writer with over 30 years of experience in gender justice, safeguarding, and feminist movement building. As Executive Director of Alliances for Africa, she leads initiatives on human rights advocacy, peacebuilding, and ending violence against women and girls. A certified SEAH investigator, she advises organizations on safeguarding and gender policies. She has influenced regional policy through advocacy on the Maputo Protocol and legislative reforms. Iheoma has worked with UN agencies, international NGOs, and governments, providing expertise on gender audits, research, and feminist strategy. She is a member of regional networks, including SOAWR and the African Feminist Forum. She holds a BA in African Women’s Studies and an MA in Communications Policy Studies.
