Biography

Inez Stefanie is a Skoll Fellow and Co-Founder & Managing Partner of Equatora Capital, an Indonesia-based platform designing harvest-timed finance for land-based enterprises across coffee, cacao, spices, and forest-linked value chains. Her work focuses on reshaping how capital reaches rural economies by aligning finance with ecological cycles, real trade flows, and livelihoods rather than extraction.

With a background in market development and ecosystem building across Southeast Asia, Inez works closely with SMEs(NbS & SGBs) that sit at the heart of supply chains but are often invisible to formal finance. At Equatora, she leads the design of non-collateral, trade-linked lending models that strengthen business resilience, governance, and regenerative practices.

In 2026, Inez is piloting a multi-crop, nature-timed financing model intended to become a replicable blueprint for just and equitable rural economies in Indonesia and the wider ASEAN region.
