Biography
Jessica Galeria is Director of Philanthropy Partnerships for Climate Breakthrough, the largest grant prize for individual climate action leaders globally. Climate Breakthrough partners donors to provide multimillion dollar, multi-year awards with few restrictions, plus robust capacity building support, to support strategies that can make a globally significant impact on carbon emissions. Jessica has 20+ years' social sector experience at organizations like Human Rights Watch in Washington DC, TechSoup in San Francisco, Fair Trade Certified in Oakland, and the International Rescue Committee Research & Innovations team. Jessica is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, having lived and worked for nearly a decade in Latin America, mostly Brazil, where was a Fulbright scholar. She holds an MBA from UC Berkeley Haas School of Business, dual US/UK citizenship, and currently lives in California’s state capitol, Sacramento, with husband Pedro, two small daughters, and an old beagle mutt.
