Biography
Kilande Esther Joan is a Public Health specialist with 8 years’ experience of designing and managing health programs. She holds a masters of public health, health promotion with a bachelor degree in social sciences majoring in gender studies. Joan has acquired skills in community empowerment, health policy advocacy with a strong track record in advancing people centered health systems and community driven accountability mechanisms.
Joan is part of the steering committee for the Resilience Action Network Africa (RANA), coordinates the Uganda Coalition on Access to Essential Medicines, she is the CSO representative for PPPR in Uganda and deputizes the CSO RMNCAH+N platform.
Joan collaborates to push for innovative, sustainable solutions that drive impact at scale, especially amidst the current freeze of foreign aid that has had a direct impact on LMIC like Uganda. With this opportunity, Joan aims to contribute insights on leveraging entrepreneurship for equitable health access.
